VIAGRA: A new drug that works to improve erectile function in men with low testosterone and other sexual disorders has won approval from the U. S. Food and Drug Administration.
The new drug, Addyi, is the first approved for treatment of erectile dysfunction in men, who are at least 50 and have low testosterone levels.
The drug’s primary use is in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition that affects the prostate, and other conditions related to male sexual function.

“The drug is approved by the FDA and will continue to be the most successful drug on the market,” said Robert Knecht, a spokesman for the FDA’s Office of Generic Drugs in the U. and Europe.
The FDA said that Addyi has no FDA indication of effectiveness, but is “a safe, relatively safe drug.” It’s used as a prescription medication for men who want to use a drug that works to improve erectile function.
